Six months and counting

Before I finish my saga about dealing with a maddening government agency replete with bureaucrats, the delivery of today’s mail inspired the following, a haiku, in honor and memory of my fondly remembered driver’s license, not seen for half a year now:

Driver’s license oh,
How I took you for granted

Were you ever real?

Let this be a lesson to all of you, my twelves of readers. If you ever get a ticket and they ask for your license – LIE. Lie, dammit! Say you don’t have it, the dog ate it, anything, but do NOT hand it over, please!!

That might be the most useful piece of advice you’ll ever read on this blog, my dear friends.
